THE LAWYERS REPRESENTING YOU
Do I have a lawyer in the case?
For the purpose of this Class Action, the Court has approved James W. Hurt, Jr. of Hurt Stolz, P.C. and John F. Woodham of Woodham Law, LLC to represent you and the other Class Members. These lawyers are called Class Counsel and these lawyers represent you as a member of the Class. If you want to be represented by your own lawyer, you may hire one at your own expense and that lawyer may enter an appearance for you if you so desire.
How will the lawyers be paid?
The fee for the Class Counsel lawyers will be paid from any recovery. The Court will consider a contingent fee payment of up to 33 and 1/3% of any Settlement Fund or judgment to pay Class Counsel for their work investigating the facts, litigating the case and/or negotiating the Settlement. Class Counsel will also request reimbursement for their expenses and a payment to Joseph Johnson, Bilal Muhammad, and Norman T. Urquhart for their services as Class Representatives, commonly known as an “incentive award”. The amount of the incentive award, if any is determined by the sole discretion of the Court.
These amounts may reduce the payments available for Class Members.
